After graduating from the University of Wolverhampton in 2010 with First Class BA Honours in Interactive Media, I have since occupied a series of professional web and e-learning development roles, working alongside developers, subject specialists and pedagogical experts to produce engaging websites and online blended and distance learning courses, using a wide variety of specialist multimedia production techniques.

I’m currently working on the BBSRC funded AgriFood Training Partnership (AFTP) project, a consortium of six leading UK based universities offering high-level online training courses, underpinned by cutting-edge scientific research, for people employed within the agrifood sector in the UK and overseas.
My role primarily involves supporting academic staff from all six AFTP delivery partner institutions to produce online distance and blended learning courses and assessment materials. My other day-to-day responsibilities include maintaining the AFTP website (Drupal 7 CMS) and associated CRM system, in addition to producing print and digital marketing collateral.

Working as part of a creative media development team on the HEFCE funded University Modernisation Fund (UMF) project, I delivered interactive online course enhancement throughout the institution working alongside academic staff to design and produce e-Learning materials for undergraduate students. These materials included websites, digital tutorials, animations, instructional videos and podcasts which were used internally as part of a blended learning teaching strategy and released externally as OER (Open Educational Resources).

The University of Wolverhampton’s (Bachelor of Arts) Interactive Media degree course was one of the first of its kind to be established in the United Kingdom. During three years of practical study, I had the opportunity to develop knowledge and skills in interface and interaction design, image composition, web and e-learning design and development, digital sound editing, streaming media, video production and critical and creative thinking.
