💶 Did your wages increase last year? I hope so!
As part of this week’s #MakeoverMonday challenge, I visualised minimum wage growth across nine European countries.
The results are pretty striking.
Poland has seen the fastest minimum wage growth since 2020, with earnings up 87% over the past five years.
Luxembourg tops the chart for the highest average wages, but growth there has slowed down.
For this viz, I wanted to keep things simple! So, I used a two-colour palette to help readers follow each country’s journey clearly.
My viz includes a mixture of line, bump, bar, and scatterplot charts. I also added a quick factoid for each country to highlight their story.
